Patient Services Representative
Responsibilities:
Act as a liaison between patient, physician, and insurance company
Assist patients with the next level of their care with regards to financial responsibility and scheduling
Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
Coordinate with insurance providers and clinics to obtain referrals and pre-authorizations
Verify medical necessity and coordinate with clinicians to obtain updated information
Work closely with the patient and act as a financial counselor
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Previous medical office experience with a strong insurance background
Strong knowledge of pre-certification
Proficient in the use of general office equipment
Proficient data entry and typing skills
Show detailed attention to all tasks required for schedulingEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
