Responsibilities:
Efficiently work within a busy dispatch department to fulfill orders Effectively uses organization systems and warehouse technology to locate and gather stock Collect order notes to fulfill deliveries Picking out ordered items from storage shelves or rooms using barcodes, serial numbers, etc.
Operating handling equipment according to industrial safety regulations Communicates with other stockroom personnel about organization practices and picker technology Collaborate with warehouse overseers and managers about product ordering and storage The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
Performing general warehouse duties as necessary Other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business Skills &
Qualifications:
Preferred:
a minimum of (1) year in warehouse experience Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent listening skills Ability to prioritize effectively and handle multiple tasks Educational Requirements:
High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience.
Work Environment:
This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
