Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment - Take and develop dental x-rays using medical imaging software - Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures - Perform basic dental procedures, such as taking impressions and applying sealants - Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar software - Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions - Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of a dental assistant program or relevant certification - Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology - Proficiency in taking vital signs, such as blood pressure and pulse rate - Familiarity with dental assisting techniques and procedures - Experience as a dental receptionist is a plus - Understanding of aseptic technique and infection control protocols - Strong communication skills and ability to interact with patients in a professional manner We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages for our employees.
