Your duties will include but are not limited to:
Administering the full range of duties and responsibilities in preparing correspondence (letters, memos, forms, agendas, and minutes) and carries out day to day administrative, technical, and clerical operations in support of mission, goals, and objectives of VISN 17 and Program Managers in the Network Office. Performing administrative and program support work, such as program or office planning, evaluation of administrative programs or issues, liaison, special projects or board and committee-related work. Screening all correspondence prepared for the Program Managers for clarity, completeness of reply, grammatical and procedural correctness. Administrative, organizational and educational skills will be utilized in reviewing and ensuring all responses address concerns and issues accurately and timely. Taking meeting minutes and developing agendas and minutes for DND, Executive Assistant (EA) to the DND and Program Managers' approval. Carrying out specific studies and projects that assist the EA to the Deputy Network Director and Network Director (ND) to readily focus on program-level and managerial issues and decisions. Developing background information and provides alternatives and recommendations from which the EA to the DND and ND and the rest of executive management are able to make well informed decisions. Provides information on current status of work in progress to the appropriate Program Managers. Providing receptionist duties to include screening calls and visitors, and mail processing, deliveries and parcels. Other duties will include complete conference coordination, travel coordination, timekeeping functions, video-conferencing scheduling. Incumbent assists with records management to include regular inventory of records, proper storage, and disposition in conjunction with the Network Records Manager/Compliance and Business Integrity Officer. Other duties will include complete conference coordination, travel coordination, timekeeping functions, video-conferencing scheduling. Incumbent assists with records management to include regular inventory of records, proper storage, and disposition in conjunction with the Network Records Manager/Compliance and Business Integrity Officer. Oversight for the suspense program, which includes ensuring appropriate assignment, implementation, tracking and taking action to achieve outcomes. Works creatively, cohesively, and insightfully with colleagues across the health care systems within the VISN and other key staff within VA to include VA regional Support Teams,10N, and VA Central Office, to design and develop innovative, efficient processes that will improve the quality and efficiency of Network operations. Works with others toward meeting national mandates and VISN mandates. Supports a robust Patient Advocacy program to include verbal and written communication with Veterans and external stakeholders, coordinating with healthcare system leadership teams to develop correspondence as well as VACO staff members when required. Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-08 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-07. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-07 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
performing administrative and program support work; program and/or office planning; evaluating administrative programs or issues; processing incoming and outgoing correspondence; composing letters and reports; organizing files and retrieving reports; replying to inquiries; preparing public presentation outlines; serving as a liaison for special projects or board and committee-related work. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
