Information Management and Security Specialist

The successful candidate will perform the full range of Information Management and Security Specialist duties.Such duties include but are not limited to:
1. Serves as the Record Manager responsible for the overall implementation, and operations of Agency Document Management System (ADAMS) for Region IV.2. Manages the coordination of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) activities for the Region IV office.3. Determines that contractor and NRC employees meet Agency requirements for unescorted access to nuclear power plants located within Regional boundaries.4. Develops and implements Region IV policies and procedures e.g. physical security plan, active threat plans, staff implementing procedures for physical and personnel security to comply with changes from internal NRC and external sources, e.g., Interagency Security Council (ISC), Division of Facilities and Security, Federal Protective Services, and municipal organizations.5. Oversees mailroom operations for the regional office, ensuring that all procedures and policies relating to processing and handling mail, and use of printing and duplication equipment is consistent with agency and Federal guidelines such as the ISC best practices for mail screening and handling. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
1. Knowledge of administrative management functions with emphasis in the areas of mail management processes, copy and duplication services.2. Knowledge of NRC's administrative policies and procedures relating to areas such the Agency Document Management System (ADAMS), records management, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), and etc.3. Ability to apply skills in physical security programs and related matters and customer support skills through interacting with management and staff of the NRC, other government agencies, contractors, and service representatives. 4. Ability to use computer software to track and report data. 5. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a variety of audience including government representatives and the public. In addition to the basic requirements, to qualify for this position you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as:
Specialized experience is knowledge of NRC and Federal laws and regulations affecting the creation and disposition of government records, office security, and site access to nuclear power plants. And knowledge of the principles, theory, and techniques in the field of mail management, security, and safety for buildings to apply in practical situations.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
