Administrative Services Assistant

The successful candidate will perform the full range of Administrative Services Assistant duties.Such duties include but are not limited to:
1. Routinely serves as alternate Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Coordinator, assisting during peak periods, and in the absence of the FOIA Coordinator, performs all duties associated with FOIA.2. Monitors email for help desk requests received from RIV Help Desk.3. Performs back-up duties for Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD) 12 badging.4. Receives, processes, x-rays, and distributes incoming and outgoing mail in accordance with Regional Policy Guide 0102 and the Interagency Security Committee Best Practices for Mail Screening and Handling Process.5. Escorts vendors who provide various miscellaneous services in the Region IV office.6. Responsible for postage meters, ensuring accurate postage is applied to all outgoing mail.7. Distributes mail received by carrier, U.S. Postal Service, FedEx, and United Parcel Service (UPS) into Region IV mail boxes. MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT 50 LBS In order to qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. The ideal candidate should demonstrate within his/her resume the following knowledge, skills, and abilities to provide sufficient details regarding your experience as it relates to this position:
(1) Knowledge of equipment usage maintenance and service, reproduction services and electronic and physical mail receipt routing.(2) Knowledge of instructions, regulations, policies, and procedures relating to document files and retrieval, office records disposition, and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).(3) Ability to apply customer support skills through interacting with management and staff of the NRC, other government agencies, contractors, and service representatives.(4) Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.(5) Demonstrated proficiency with Micro-computer based word processing applications, including, but not limited to, WORD, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, calendarscheduling, etc., and other database applications (e.g., access to maintain automated tracking systems). MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT 50 LBS SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as:
Experience which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform a wide range of administrative services duties such as coordinating office services function of the regional office, ensuring that all procedures and policies relating to processing and handling mail, and use of printing and duplication equipment are consistent with agency and Federal guidelines.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
