The successful candidate will perform the full range of Administrative duties for the senior management/division. Such duties include but are not limited to:
1. Prepares letters, memoranda, reports, elements and standards, appraisals, and staff papers in final form from rough drafts. 2. Maintains the appointment calendars for the reactor program Directors and Deputy Directors and advises them or appointments, meetings, etc. 3. Is the primary point of contact, coordinates the submission of time and labor input within Reactor Safety in the current agency reporting system, ensuring all payroll units are completed and certified within established time frames. 4. Reviews outgoing correspondence, reports, memoranda, etc., prepared for the signature, or concurrence, of the senior managers, to assure the material has been proofread for grammatical and punctuation correctness, is complete, and conforms to the format style and appearance required by NRC, office or division procedures (including Management Directive 3.57 and Inspection Manual Chapters 0610 and 0612). 5. Serves as a liaison among the reactor program senior managers, and with other divisions, offices, or branches in administrative matters. In addition to the basic requirements, to qualify for this position you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is experience which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform a wide range of secretarial and administrative duties such as those described below. Must be proficient in typing and in the use of office automation systems to produce memoranda, reports, letters and other textual or graphical documents. Must have the ability to lead and work in a team environment, to secure cooperation in leading staff, to perform liaison activities with staff from other organizations. Examples of Specialized Experience include, but are not limited to:
legal secretarial work; executive secretarial work; medical administrative work; accounts management work; insurance office administrative work; or other responsible office/administrative work beyond receptionist duties that require data input/management/report generation, claims processing, filing system establishment and maintenance, correspondence management, timekeeping, travel processing, conference or meeting planning, maintenance of calendars, etc. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
1. Knowledge of proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, and correspondence procedures sufficient to prepare correspondence of an administrative nature and review outgoing material.2. Demonstrated initiative and ability to provide leadership, administrative support and customer service in a variety of areas (e.g. workload management, time and attendance reporting, security, records management, travel scheduling, personnel, etc.)3. Demonstrated proficiency with microcomputer-based word processing systems including Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Appointment Calendar), presentation applications, and other database applications (i.e., maintaining automated tracking systems).4. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in handling multiple assignments with competing priorities, often under considerable pressure to meet deadlines. 5. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
