Vehicle Description 1956 Ford Crown Victoria In order to compete with the popular tri five BelAir, Ford had to do something.
The answer? The Crown Victoria.
Built on the Fairlane platform the Crown Victoria was the highest trim level available.
These cars had a B pillar roofline but some clever designers fitted the pillar with a wide stainless band which gave it a much sleeker appearance than your typical post cars.
The clean little 56 Crown Vic you see here is a nice survivor type car.
It has been kept all stock and original.
The current owners have had it since 2006 and it has been very well cared for.
It wears its original Red and White paint which is cleanly accented by all of the original trim/chrome which these cars had a TON of.
The lights are all working properly and up front half circle chrome covers have been added.
All of the glass is in good shape with no issues except the passengers window which does have a crack.
To each side of the windshield dummy spot lights have been added which are a cool vintage accent.
They aren't in place in our pictures but the car does come with a set of rear fender skirts.
The car has a nice stance and rides on a set of aftermarket SSC custom wheels with P215/75R15 tires.
Engine Code M V8 292 ci OHV - 4V Carb.
(200hp MT, 202hp AT) Production Year 6 1956 Assembly Plant D Dallas, TX Body Style W Crown Victoria Production Sequence 134899 134899 The car is powered by its original 292 Thunderbird Special V8 motor which runs well.
Everything has a stock original appearance.
The motor is paired with a 3 speed Fordomatic transmission that shifts smoothly.
The drum brakes stop well with no problems.
On each side the car has lake pipes but they are just for looks and not fully hooked up.
The interior of the car is done in a matching Red and White which looks great.
It has a split bench seat up front and in rear.
The stock has the original layout and all of the original gauges, knobs, trim, etc.
The odometer shows 82,594 original miles.
The trunk is in good shape with a solid pan and houses the spare and original jack setup.
This is a clean classic Crown Vic that has been kept very original and runs well.
It could be yours for only $29,750.
