Vehicle Description 1973 Ford Mustang Convertible Muscle cars belong to a class all there own and one of the known models throughout the world is the classic Mustang.
From starting production in 1965 (or halfway through 64) the Mustang has evolved but continued to be popular and among the highest selling vehicles even today.
One of the coolest things about a particular line of cars that has survived for that long is that you can see the evolution throughout years of how little changes were made to modernize the overall look.
Well this 73 Mustang Convertible marked some big changes for Mustangs.
The bodys became more streamline but still retained a lot of those older Mustang features like the triple tail lights in rear and wide open front grill.
The rear fender slightly elevates just past the roof line giving it that muscle car feel.
This classic underwent a total restoration in the past by the current owner who has had the vehicle in his possession for the past 20 years.
The car is regularly driven so you know it has been kept mechanically sound.
With some very minor detail work this classic could be taken from its current state to high quality show car with ease.
Not to say it isn't show worth at this point as the car shows well and gets a lot of attention.
It is just evident that it is driven and wasn't locked away on a trailer since being completed.
It is all original from front to rear and looks great.
The body is coated in a very nice Orange with the period correct Black hockey stick stripe running down the sides.
The front bumpers are painted to match as they would be originally with the rear bumper being nicely chromed.
All of the stainless trim around the windows is there framing the glass which is in good shape as well.
The car rolls around town on the original style wheels with thin white wall tires.
Under the hood of this classic is a 302 V8 that Ford had perfected at this time.
These motors run very well and are surprisingly strong for a small block.
They are fairly easy to work on and finding parts for these engines is extremely easy.
Most of the components are painted Ford Blue to match there original style.
The automatic transmission shifts smoothly with no problems.
Both power steering and power brakes are in place making it an even better driver.
The interior is completed in Tan vinyl and is very comfortable.
The high back bucket seats look great in place and the back bench allows plenty of leg room.
As mentioned earlier the car is all original so the interior utilizes the original style trim, knobs, gauges, switches, etc and everything works properly.
The T-handle automatic shifter is mounted to the floor and framed in a nice original factory console.
The upholstery on the top has a fresh look because it is all brand new.
It is power assisted and raises/lowers like new.
Hop in this cool muscle car and go for $26,900.
