Vehicle Description 1935 Chevrolet Custom 1/2 Ton Pickup The first pickup truck offered by Chevrolet made its debut in 1918 following the trend set by Ford with the Model TT introduced just 1 year prior.
For the following years the pickups and panel trucks would follow the looks of their passenger cars being basically the car built onto a pickup chassis.
This would however end in 1941 when the trucks diverged and started having their own designs to set them apart from the car versions.
This 1935 Chevrolet 1/2 Ton Pickup has been completely redone with a frame off restoration transforming it into the street rod it is today.
It is a very high end build with only top of the line components being used throughout.
The all steel body is in excellent condition with no damage or rust throughout.
It is painted a Multi Lava Red paint that actually takes on various appearances depending on what light you are in.
In low light it appears almost Black but get it out in the sun and it will take a more Root Beer and sometimes even Burgundy color.
To give the truck a unique looking profile the top has been chopped on it, custom running boards made, and an additional billet vent was added in front of the original 4 louvers.
The truck has a very nice dark wood bed with stainless runners and is where you will find the fuel filler.
It has nice chrome bumpers in front and rear as well as the stock style headlights/taillights.
The glass is in good shape throughout with a slight tint.
The truck sits on a nice set of 17 inch Foose chrome wheels with Toyo tires that have plenty of life left in them.
The 4 piece hood opens up from either side revealing the 350 ci V8 crate motor that has been nicely dressed up with a lot of chrome making it very worthy of showing off.
It is fitted with a 4 barrel carb, Speedway hugger headers, Comp cam, and HEI ignition.
The truck has no heating issues with the added electric fan and Griffin aluminum radiator.
It sits on a custom fabricated frame and has a Fat Boy front end and Heidts suspension set up.
The truck really runs well and paired with the motor is a Automatic TH700R4 transmission which transfers power back to the S10 rear end with 3.
