Vehicle Description 1992 Toyota Supra Turbo The Supra was a Japanese sports car and grand tourer introduced by Toyota in 1978.
They were named for the Latin words if above and go beyond indicating they were taking their sports cars to the next level.
They were originally part of the Celica platform but in 1986 the Celica named branched off and Supra became its own model.
When this occurred Celica became front wheel drive while Supra remained rear wheel.
Late in their life exporting to the US was halted explaining why you rarely see later models of these in the states.
This 1992 was the last production year for the third generation and is a nice stock Turbo.
It is painted in its original Red and does have the Targa top that was reserved for only the Turbos.
These allows you to easily change from more of a convertible to a coupe with ease.
The top seals up well and can be removed by one person.
It has the original rear spoiler, rear hatch back, front chin spoiler, working hideaway headlights and original 16 inch wheels.
One of the lower fog lights has been replaced with an aftermarket one.
Powering the car is its original turbocharged 7M-GTE inline 6 motor which was the most powerful version available at the time.
In fact these motors were the base of the Turbo A engine which was Japans fastest vehicle at the time.
The car runs well and had the timing belt changed around 40K-50K miles ago.
It has a 5 speed manual transmission and the car has been driven regularly and as far as a 230 mile round trip.
The interior is done in Black cloth with dual high back bucket seats.
The door panels and dash have a mostly stock layout except for the aftermarket Kenwood AM/FM/CD/Aux stereo and speakers.
It also has a Pioneer amp and subwoofer.
In the rear section there is a storage space for the painted to match removeable top.
You really don't see a ton of these cars around nowadays.
It needs some things to make it perfect but is a really nice driving stock Supra.
