The El Camino was so closely related to the Chevelle that everything from the windshield forward was largely interchangeable throughout both cars' generations, and engines were shared.
Perhaps the best-known El Camino model was the legendary SS, and the '72 was the last year for the big-blocks.
The SS models came with custom lower trim and grille also came with SS/454 badges on the fenders and SS tailgate.
This is a true SS if you breakdown the VIN it would have been a factory 350ci with AC in brown.
