These cars have cemented themselves in automobile history as they are one of the most identifiable classics on the road.
There are entire clubs and even businesses that cater directly to Tri-Five enthusiasts.
They have an iconic look that are frequently featured in pop culture and television.
Watch anything based in the 50's and odds are you going to see those tail fins cruising around at some point.
This very nice '56 Chevy is the 210 2 door post model.
It was all gone through and rebuilt to make it not only a looker but a great driver as well.
The body is solid with no issues and wears a custom Blue Topaz Metallic and Diamond White paint.
It really comes to life out in the sunshine where that pearl can really pop.
All of the chrome and stainless pieces are in great shape and cleanly mounted in place.
One unique design on the '56 was the hidden gas cap that is tucked away behind the drivers tail light.
This was a clever way to keep the body clean from any gas door and it is always neat feature to show off to those that have never seen one.
The glass is all tinted, damage free and it has raingear front wipers.
It rides on a set of classic Cragar SS mag wheels and it has a slightly wider tire in the back.
The rears are 275/60R15 and the fronts 215/75R15.
It started life as a 6 cylinder car but has since been upgraded with a 350ci 330hp V8 crate motor.
It has 5,800 miles since built so this car has a long life ahead of it.
It runs great and is fitted with a Holley 4 barrel carburetor, chrome Chevrolet valve covers, and chrome air cleaner.
The car runs nice and cool thanks to the Griffin aluminum radiator with both mechanical and electric fans.
It sounds great through HPC Doug's headers into 2 1/2 in exhaust that exits below the rear bumper.
Mated to the motor is a rebuilt 350 automatic transmission that shifts smoothly with no issues.
It has 4 wheel power disc brakes with a CPP proportional valve and the 605 power steering is also from CPP.
As we mentioned the car was set up to be a great driver and with 3:
08 gears it cruises down the highway with ease.
Both the front and rear suspension has been entirely rebuilt and it also has a new front sway bar and rear coil over shocks.
Underneath the car it is all painted in POR-15 Black and is completely rust free with all new floors.
The gas tank was also replaced during the build and the car was totally rewired with an EZ wiring harness.
The interior has been completely redone in Black leather with a Glide split bench front seat.
On the seat is an aftermarket console for additional storage space and cupholders.
The seats and the door panel upholstery feature a pleated design and all are in great shape.
It also has a nice padded Black dash cover.
The dash has a mostly stock layout but has been modified with custom Classic Instruments Danchuk Signature all in one gauges and an Autosound AM/FM/Cassette player.
An underdash Vintage air AC/Heat system is in place and blows cold.
The polished tilt steering column looks great in front of the driver and is topped off with a 3 spoke steering wheel.
It was originally a column shift car but now has a B&M floor shifter.
Cleverly, the original gauge indicator area on the dash has been filled with a custom Fifty Six stainless piece.
The trunk of the car has a nice carpeted mat and houses a spare and jack.
This very cool '56 is ready to win trophies and get you to the show in style.
With everything that has been done on it the car is a steal at our asking price.
Get it while you still can for only $38,500.
