Vehicle Description 1957 Chevrolet Custom Station Wagon Known as an automotive icon, the 1957 Chevrolet is the poster car for the 50's.
With its use in various products from toys to movies and television they set it up to become one of the most recognizable vehicles in history.
Even automotive amateurs can point at these finned beauties and know it looks familiar even if they can't ID it.
They had various models and as the custom vehicle world grew in popularity, station wagons became one of the coolest starting points for restomods.
What was once your boring family car has now cemented itself into the show car world.
This very clean, rare, 9 passenger wagon is a beautifully frame off restored car that has racked up only 2,057 miles since being completed.
The car has been extremely well cared for since it was finished so it still has that fresh just out of the shop look.
The current owner is a collector of very clean cars and we are also very familiar with the original builder who is a collector as well.
It was originally sold out of Vandergriff Chevrolet in Arlington, TX so it is very likely it has lived its entire life in the North Texas area.
The body and floors are all very solid and straight with zero issues.
It has a beautiful gloss Black paint that has a very slick shine.
All of the chrome and stainless trim work is perfect as is the tinted glass.
This is an absolutely gorgeous car and you aren't going to find a weak area anywhere.
It has a great stance and rides on 17 inch Boyd Coddington wheels.
Powering this classic is a 283 V8 that has been very cleanly finished out with a billet air cleaner and valve covers.
It has a plenty of power and delivers a great sound through the all new H pipe dual exhaust.
It was originally a 3 speed and factory AC car.
It has a more modern AC/Heat system now and the transmission has been changed out for a 4 speed that shifts smoothly.
Other nice luxuries include the power steering system and power brakes with CPP booster and discs in front.
The suspension system and bushings are all brand new and it has a sway bar added in front.
All this combined makes the car a very comfortable one to cruise around in.
The interior is all brand new and is done in a Red and Black combination.
Prior to being started it was fully Dynamatted throughout.
The upholstery work is all very clean and considering it has space for 9 passengers and storage there is certainly a lot of it.
It has all bench seats with a split bench in the center to give access into the rear.
From the headliner up above to the carpet down below everything has a very fresh look.
The dash features Red and Silver paint and has a nice pairing of stock along with aftermarket components.
It has nice white face Classic Instrument gauges and the central gauge pod is an all in one set up.
In front of the driver is a Silver painted tilt column topped off with a reduced size custom steering wheel.
Other very nice features include the underdash AC unit which blows cold, Hurst floor mounted shifter and AM/FM/Cassette player that sounds great.
Looking the car over closely it becomes very apparent this was a high end build that has been loved and cherished since being finished.
It looks great, drives great and shows very well.
It would make an excellent addition to any collection for $59,500.
00! REDUCED DOWN TO $57,500.
